Pastor James H. Oldfield, a native of New Ulm, Minnesota, is a 1977 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI. Upon graduation, he was assigned to his first parish, Divine Peace Lutheran Church of Renton, WA. He served there until 1985, when he accepted the call to be pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Yakima, WA. Faith Lutheran of Anchorage called him to serve as their shepherd late in 1991, and Pastor Oldfield brought his family to Alaska early in 1992. He and Colleen, a native of Fond du Lac, WI, were married in June, 1977, and have been blessed with three children. Pastor and Colleen enjoy cross-country skiing and dancing, when they get the chance. They feel that they have been richly blessed in their years at Faith.
